Through the 3Ts of Education grants, the Pacific Life Foundation donated $513,000 to 148 schools in 2021.
“A large sense of pride.”
That’s how senior wholesaler at Pacific Life Kristen McGarry feels every time she walks past the big 3Ts of Education check that her daughter’s principal hung on the wall of their school shortly after it was delivered on behalf of the Pacific Life Foundation 3Ts of Education program.
It’s a feeling familiar to many parents and grandparents at Pacific Life who each year get to be an integral part of this valuable program. Now in its 23rd year, the 3Ts of Education program helps fund local K-12 schools – where there are concentrations of children or grandchildren of PL employees – in the areas of technology, textbooks, and teacher training.
“It’s exciting to nominate your child’s school for a grant, but it’s even more thrilling to get to go to the school and hand a big check to the principal,” said Tennyson Oyler, President of the Pacific Life Foundation. “We love that our employees can be directly involved in this process – we couldn’t do it without them!”
More than $9.4 million in 3Ts grants has been contributed by the Foundation to hundreds of schools across the nation since the program’s inception in 1998.
