The Pacific Life Foundation has been supporting Think Together and the Shalimar Learning Center for more than 20 years.
Think Together began in 1997 in Costa Mesa when a group of mothers banded together to open up the Shalimar Learning Center in Costa Mesa. What began as a center in one neighborhood has expanded to programs offered in over 400 California schools, serving more than 150,000 students. Their efforts include early learning programs, summer programs, after school programs, and college and career readiness programs, all geared toward closing the achievement gap. Today, the Shalimar Learning Center serves 300 students daily and 160 high school graduates have gone on to pursue college education.
