At Pacific Life, we are proud to celebrate that we have been in business for 150 years. Investing in our local community has long been a part of Pacific Life’s core values.
Pacific Life was recognized as one of the fifty most community-minded companies in Orange County in 2018. The Civic 50 Orange County award, presented by the Orange County Business Journal in partnership with OneOC, provides Orange County-based corporations the standard for superior corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, skills, and other resources to improve the quality of life in the community where they do business. In addition, Pacific Life received the Civic 50 Legacy Company award in recognition for its long and consistent history of giving back to the Orange County community.
At Pacific Life, we are proud to celebrate that we have been in business for 150 years. Investing in our local community has long been a part of Pacific Life’s core values. We can trace some of our community giving back to 1932 when we partnered with the Community Chest in Los Angeles, the predecessor organization to today’s Orange County United Way.
Together with Pacific Life, the Pacific Life Foundation has donated more than $102 million dollars to nonprofits during the last 32 years. We focus our community investments namely in the areas of: arts & culture; civic, community & economic development, and the environment; education; and health and human services. In 2017 in Orange County alone, we invested more than $4 million through grants, monetary and in-kind donations, in addition to our volunteer efforts in the community. By the end of 2018, we plan to have donated more than $4 million to Orange County nonprofits.
