Pacific Life Volunteers Make a Global Difference for 200 Charities

Throughout 2024, more than 2,280 Pacific Life Volunteers globally contributed 15,000 hours to support 200 charities! From large onsite service events assembling 10,000+ kits in a week to individual efforts at local schools or PTAs, Pacific Life Volunteers make a significant impact in their communities. These volunteers embody Pacific Life's values of People and Integrity by working individually and in teams to do the right thing for our communities.

2024 Volunteer Highlights

Week of Service Events

The Pacific Life Foundation hosted three Week of Service Projects throughout 2024 where employees participated in onsite service projects. In the spring, 670+ employees across our main U.S. offices assembled more than 10,000 American Red Cross disaster preparedness kits for those in need. In anticipation of “back to school”, 660+ employee volunteers assembled 11,500 back to school kits filled with essential school supplies to help students succeed in their upcoming academic year.

From late September to later October, Pacific Life teams across 9 global offices came together for a powerful Week of Service – dedicating time to pack meals, assemble kits, and serve local communities. In total, 132,000+ meals and kits were assembled for families in need.

Environmental Cleanup Efforts

Throughout 2024, 18 global cleanups and activities were held across eight cities to have a positive impact on our environment. Through cleanup efforts, 521+ of trash and microplastics were cleared from waterways by Pacific Life Volunteers around the world.

After-Hours & Individual Volunteerism

95 Pacific Life employees around the word volunteered 25 or more hours in 2024, with 16 employees volunteering 100+ hours. 4,400+ hours were recorded as part of the Pacific Life Foundation’s Individual Volunteer Hours program. Through the Pacific Life Foundation’s volunteer match program, employees were able to request a $10 Volunteer Match grant for every qualified Individual Volunteer Hour recorded, up to $1,000 annually

Notable individual volunteer heroes having an impact across the globe included:

43 employees donated blood or platelets with the American Red Cross
13 employees participated in a mentorship program
20 employees received Individual Volunteer Hour grants for their hundreds of board and committee service hours with local nonprofit organizations

Community-Focused Department Events

Pacific Life department leaders continued to integrate volunteer projects into their department meetings and events. Volunteer projects ranged from bike builds to kit assembly, totaling 47 community-focused team events in 2024.

We are proud to have 38 Pacific Life employees serving on nonprofit boards worldwide. At every level of our company, from our coordinators to our senior management, we are thrilled that so many of our team members embody Pacific Life's value of Integrity through their dedicated service on these boards.
